Dr. Villagra is Founder and President of Health and Technology Vector, Inc. a consulting company in population health, technology assessment and delivery system redesign, in operation for 19 years. Dr. Villagra has worked with senior management teams of a diverse client base in the US, Europe, Japan, China and Latin America. In his current position as Associate Director of UCONN’s Health Disparities Institute, all his efforts are devoted to reducing/eliminating healthcare disparities, especially among people of color and non-English native speakers. Dr. Villagra’s most recent work is focused on enhancing the value of health insurance and to understand the root causes of medical debt and its health and financial harms to patients and families.
